Benefit Specialist

Jolene is the newest member to the Orbis team and eager to start a lifelong career in HR. Jolene recently earned her bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Grand Valley State University and strives to further her education in the future. Jolene is responsible for administering all benefit related matters including enrollments, maintaining employee database and files, and ensuring compliance, a competency she gained throughout her college career.

As the Employee Benefits Coordinator, Jolene manages more than 50 employee benefit programs. She manages group health plans, dental, vision, 401k plans, life insurance, accident and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, and health savings accounts. Jolene is responsible for coordinating benefit open enrollments for our clients including communicating cost and premiums to ensure a smooth transition.

Jolene continues to be an active member in the SHRM, where she originally fell in love with the field of HR.

When Jolene is out of the office, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, getting involved in recreational sports such as golf, softball, and volleyball, and working on crafty projects for fun. Jolene is also a very strong and proud advocate for gender equality.
